cancer

Post: # 14414Post putty »

i know this is a music board, and this may be an inappropriate conversation to have on here, but i feel like there are some informed and articulate people on here who could shed some light on this subject for me.

i know two people who are expected to die of cancer, and one person who died yesterday.

my mom had cancer when she was 34, but is cured. my grandfather had cancer. my grandmother keeps getting little cancerous spots on her face that have been successfully removed.

what the fuck? why can't we figure out cancer?

i dont believe its curable (as a whole) b/c its a natural reaction to mutations in the genetic code. now, this is all based on my 2 years as a biochem major, but i did skip 75% of my classes and eventually changed majors.

i do think the stem cell research is going to lead us to helping to replace organs that are failing due to cancer.
