We were psyched to see the addition! Plus Mike Gordon - definitely interested to see what kind of band he puts together. Some of my favorite musicians are coming back to Quincy :D

I have heard that Mike's new album is rock music. He is working on putting the band together now. Some interesting names have been tossed around. My picks would be Brad, Marco, and Andrew for his touring band.

This seems like a good news/bad news kind of thing. While it's great to see SMMD added, the Slip remain conspicuously absent....

Yeah, that does temper the good news a bit. I can understand them not wanting to tour because of all the stress that results from the road but since they're already going to be at High Sierra and some of their most diehard fans will be there as well I have to admit I will be a bit bummed if they don't do a set as "The Slip".

it just doesn't seem possible that they'd be there and not play as the Slip...
unless, for some reason, they really just don't want to...

but you know how it seems so fickle the way they release only a few artist additions at a time. i was stoked to see smmd on the list so early this year!

I hate to say it but my gut feeling is that if they do not play as The Slip at HSMF it's an indication that this "hiatus" might last longer than we all had hoped. I don't want to jump the gun but my Slip-jonsin' is eating away at me. But what's up with these guys? They haven't played since last summer, have updated their website once since Sept, no news what so ever, not playing HSMF???? It would be nice if they could leak a little insight of what's going on.

also, i remember hearing talk about putting out an album every year, or something like that.

after making such a big push around Eisenhower, it's strange that they haven't kept up that momentum. cause it's hard to start it up again.
