I'm really digging Monster and Devil's Harp. Anyone figure out any words yet? I know some but don't feel confident posting them.

"song previously known as 'Jam into...'' [Proud] on my ipod anyway.

ooo ooo

on the second day of june
'neath an almost crescent moon
we played echoes
with the fireflies

you were almost 17
on a bright side of a dream
blowing kisses
to the paperboy

and the that we drew
oh magnolia afternoon
was september before they washed away

...came a dark
getting lost in echo park
heard nirvana
on the radio

rays of sunlight mornign filled
bouncing shadows on the fields below

all my words come tumbling down
like violets in your curls
maybe its just thi skind of man
goes diving for the pearls

all my shackles and shakes come off
I'm well to the world

whats that song? (ooo ooo)

with my ankles in the sand
holding water in my hand
dissapearing
in a shallow

you were running with balloons
some were yellow some were blue
tried a message
and you never found gold

and i wanted to complain
it was more i couldnt state
just how beautiful
i thought that was

you were only 17
on the bright side of adream
blowing kisses to the paperboy

"Monster"

steady woman wont you come on down
i need you right here on the ground
walk the outskirts of this town
been terrified at what i found

saw a standing virigin bride
??????????????????????????????
she tore a heart out of his side
and layed in bed and there she cried

whoa ooo

she said hello im a monster too
and what poisions me is what poisins you
into these animals we grew
but when we were young our eyes were blue

i take my medicine on my knee
once a day
but lately three

it keeps the devil from my door
it makes me rich and makes me poor

im a beggar in the monring
im a king at night
my belt is loose and my trigger is tight

they come without warning
at the speed of light
make it shine so pretty make it
shine so bright

seems ive come a logn long way
to sit before you here today
theyre yours thier yours the songs i play
to take with you or to throw away

??????

as far as i can hear...

???????????? = where holy dionysus died

and i think following it's .......
she tore The heart out of his side
and laid It There and there she cried

but then again that's just prepositions and poetic devices, and unless you're a diction dork like me...... meh...

a few other things i hear that are slightly different but i'm hungry and may just need new headphones.... nice to see words up here though

although there is another verse at the end of monster that i was just listening to and didn't see down there, so here goes....

whoa....
oh i want and angel to wipe my tears
i want my hopes my dreams desires and fears
oh we may capsize but we won't drown
hold eachother as the sun goes down...

(back into beggar in the mornin-belt-shine so pretty etc chorus)
good frickin song that one..... mmmm.....

"Was that So Long AGo" (my interpretation)

on the second day of june
beneath an almost crescent moon
we played echoes with the fireflies

you were almost 17
on a bright side of a dream
blowing kisses to the paperboy

And the ribbon that you threw
or magnolia afternoon
was september before they washed away

They were clapping in the dark
getting lost in echo park
heard nirvana on the radio

At the tolling of the bell
rays of sunlight only filled
clouds with shadows on the fields below

all my words come tumbling down like violets in your curls
maybe its just this kind of man (that) goes diving for a pearl
all my shackles and chains come off like weather to the world

Was that so long ago

with my ankles in the sand holding water in my hand
dissapearing in a shallow stream

you were running with balloons some were yellow some were blue
tied a message and you let them go

what a moment to complain it was more than I could say
just how beautiful I thought that was

you were only 17 on the bright side of adream
blowing kisses to the paperboy

i'm finally getting around to listening to all of this, so beautiful, suits my evening wonderfully...

but, *gasp*, my track 4 (beggar in the morning) cuts out right after "when we were young our eyes were blue"... help help can someone get me a complete track? this is one of my favorites...

[edit] never mind... apparently it was just a problem in my flac player. i tried a different one and it works fine. how odd. :?
