Keller Williams > Broken Social Scene last weekend

Post: # 8864Post sm »

hey ya'll.

so last weekend we went out to toronto to catch Keller Williams on Friday at Lee's Palace, with an aftershow by Vancouver's Slammin' Jack at the El Mocambo, and then the big show on saturday night at the Koolhaus, Broken Social Scene! the 2nd of the 2 night stand at the koolhaus, it promised to be an epic show, confirmed when kevin drew opened the show by stating "a little tip: never go see the first Social Scene show... tonight's the night!" - they played for just under 3 hours, the encore was immense, with drew again saying something to the effect of "we just wanna keep playing tonight, tomorrow we're getting on a plane and you never know when you're gonna be riding with Buddy Holly".

drew owned the night. feist owned me. Lover's Spit is the most glorious song, but Ibi rocks my face off.

i wrote more about it on my blog. 2nd post down, week in review.

sweet..BSS put on and epic concert when i saw them as well, clocked in at just under three hours of nonstop rage. got a friend trying to convince me to go to NYC this weekend and it's real tempting cause i could catch the last show of thier three night stand up there, but i think i'm gonna stay local and check out deerhoof whom i still haven't seen live. glad to hear you had a good time though. i'm checking out feist in two weeks, can't wait for that.
