WOW... where to start. Duo switched off with davis song per song for a whiel with guest sit-ins. Davis included Everything must go, i hate love, when a woman, sissyfuss, and lots more... I can piece together a setlist later. TONS of insane jamming with the duo, a multi-headed beast!!! As the show wore on they were just like 1 big band. 2nd encore was wild trippy shit, ended with money money money, I've got Soul (james brown) stand by me, what a wonderful world.

Tapes sound great, we got it all but the beginning of the final 45 minute encore. Everyone thought they were done.

A more coherent account to come.

arg! second encore!?

i stood around clapping for a while but when they put the house music on i left. damn. :^/ that encore looks like it was rockin'. well i caught the first several hours and it was oh so good.

anyone else notice that when brad was laying on his back on top of the crowd, they kinda just tossed him back towards the direction of the stage. it wasn't very graceful, but he seemed uninjured.

easily the best show i've ever seen, those boys played their hearts out
i'd love to post a setlist but it was wicked confusing between the switching of the bands, the epic jams, and the full blown songs

No, my laptop rig was at the Front of House. Cleantone set it up and ran it all night. I was a few feet behind and to the right of the guy with the mic stand. That looked pretty brutal for him! We will be able to release the audience component of our recording, look for it soon, prob. after I get back to Cali.

Awesome dude I look forward to it.

That dude had a rough night. All work and no play it seemed like.

once when I was a beggar and you were the rain on my face,
once when I was crippled and you carried me,
and once when the blindness of others taught me how to see.

I was blown away...again and again. Amazing times all night long. Best. New Year's. Ever!

I put up a couple of pix on Facebook, not sure I'll have time to get to Flickr with these before Jamcruise.

I had time to post a few MMJ photos from MSG:
Image

Was cool to see Brad, Andrew, Marc, Nathan and Rubio all saunter in just after the 1st three (as I was leaving the pit). Just before the show as I was getting my limited pass, lo and behold David Fricke was picking up his all access! I said "Hey, David, nice jacket" and he says "thanks, man". 8)
Every picture tells a story.

Great time! And great to see some of you!

So, kind of funny how Barber from the Biscuits strolled out onstage for a minute. Only in NYC at 5 in the morning.

i honestly did nothing fancy with my camera, i guess where i was standing the sound just sounded good.
it's not a very fancy camera either, just a canon powershot sd1100
its a tiny little camera that fits in my back pocket
i happened to have an 8gig memory card in it which probably would have allowed me to record the majority of the show but my arm was killing me holding it up haha
the videos just came out great, it was luck!
