Do you like killer lights at shows?

Yes, it makes the music sound better.

Doesn't matter -- I can't see very well.

Not really -- it distracts from the music.

I took these with my new film camera:

NOT!!! :twisted:

Phrazz Pix: The Duo at the Recher Theatre - Towson, MD - Dec. 2, 2006

These shots, along with work by legendary photographers Sam Friedman (FriedPix) and J Nicholas Tolson will be part of a Duo DVD coming out next year. They had at least 8 video cameras at the show, including at least one HD video rig that made us drool. The killer lights were done by Melt Lighting.

The Duo kicked some major ass. The new sound guy has great ears and tweaked it just perfect w/o any distortion. I could even stand next to the stacks w/o plugs most of the time. The crowd was also very into the experience and most everyone showed up for both openers (Band of Changes and Tom Hamilton's American Babies). More on the Duo boards of course (organanddrums.net). Not sure why they don't hit High Sierra anymore, but maybe other summertime gigs around July 4th.

I definitely recommend getting there early as their openers tend to be top notch and often affiliated with The Duo. I am liking American Babies a lot -- some progressive acoustic folk punk, or something like that. ;-}
