Any fans of free jazz, free improv on this board? Im huge into Albert Ayler, late period Coltrane, Pharoah Sanders, Art Ensemble of Chicago, downtown NYC scene, Derek Bailey at al.

ornette coleman's album free jazz, from 1960 i think, is fucking incredible. double quartet, everyone real talented. unbelivable.

Love me some Free Jazz. Has anyone checked out the duo albums with Cecil Taylor and various drummers? They haven't been released in the US but you can get them on amazon and they're amazing. Trane's Interstellar Space is awesome free jazz in a duo format as well.
