So today...

I pulled my Slip logo sticker off the back of my 87 VW Vanagon Syncro (named "Blue Steel") in anticipation of it being put up for sale. The greatest 2nd vehicle ever invented. The places that van has been and the things it has seen go down with the curtains closed..yikes. The looming end of an era...so tough. Thanks for listening.

I know how you feel. I said goodbye to my bumper sticker-covered 91' Chevy Corsica yesterday. My first car, which made it through many long roadtrips to shows and festivals, survived a few more VT winters than expected, and even recovered from an incident with a gaurd rail on Storrow Drive when we spun out in the rain driving back from the Narrow's acoustic show in '03 (I think Tasoula or Kosta has a picture of that somewhere). The transmission is on it's way out so it's getting donated to a charity that'll hopefully get a few more months out of it.

But... I'm looking forward to picking up my new (well used, but comparably new to me!) hybrid car in Boston next weekend. Anyone headed that way after Saratoga?
