An Ottawa band I know, The Souljazz Orchestra, are doing some dates in the USA in February:
The band plays afro-beat/funk/soul/jazz, with a big horn section. They've been playing in Ottawa for years, have done several European tours (I think this is their first time in the USA, though), and are dedicated to providing a sweatful environment.
