High Greetings Fine People,

In brief: Last spring I swam o'er to Europe, on a mission fueled
entirely by long-had dreams. In the last 9 months, I've played about
50 shows through Italy, France, Spain, Holland and England... meeting
with both potent artists and wholehearted experience on the way.
I spent August in Barcelona, having been more than fortunate to
connect with a pristine crew of individuals and musicians in
Barcelona, and, in the hands of producer Dave Bianchi, who spearheads
the Barcelona label "Whatabout Music", crafted this latest recording,
called "Ulu".
Literally I put the music into his hands, and I believe him to be a
most keen fellow, along with the musicians also on the label, for whom
I have high respect! In all my musical wanderings and meetings, I am
exceedingly touched by the collaboration that goes on in Barcelona,
and how natural and alive the musicians there feel to me. On this
record, I was most lucky to work with people from Israel, Guinea,
Portugal, Catalunya, Spain, California, Holland, Argentina and
Greece...

Now I head to Montreal for a music project that has grown out of these
last 9 months... aiming afterwards to return promptly back to these
old lands, where my watercolor paints are most content.

An Ulu (again, "Ulu" is the name of the EP) is a knife that the Inuit
women possess which, as my favorite living poet Rybacki informed, no
one would think to take from her possession. She uses it for
everything from cutting her children's hair to breaking the ice for
her igloo. It is her tool alone, distinctly for her hands.
You can find Ulu, the 4 song EP I made this past August, for purchase
at the following links. Please feel most free, if so inspired, to
pass this email along to anyone who you think would like to purchase
copies of the recording to support this music....every purchase will
be felt with much appreciation!

Sweet! Listening to the first track now, and liking it so far.

It's definitely Leslie being Leslie.
