help! know of a good recording studio in MA or RI?

Hey everyone...I was wondering if anyone could recommend an affordable, thorough and friendly music recording studio in the RI or MA area..I want to schedule some time in a studio as a surprise gift for my upcoming anniversary and didn't just want to pick a studio at random outta the yellow pages.
