Fight the Big Bull

Post: # 20874Post putty »

So if y'all listen to today's Fresh HHHAir with Terry Gross, you'll hear an album review of a jazz band from Richmond, called Fight the Big Bull. it's my friend Cameron's band. he plays stand up bass, and the guy really liked it. freakin awesome, is what that is.

if you like jazz, check 'em out. kind of a smallish big band sound with a sweet grinding guitar tone and a lot of fuzzy stuff and loud horns.

heard it putty. The way the guitar and the horns were working together was great. Where's a good spot to start?

http://www.myspace.com/fightthebigbull has some unreleased stuff along with their newly released album.

I know you can buy their four-song album on eMusic.

I think you can download all four mp3s on the audio page. Not sure if they're the same versions as the album tracks.

Dig it up! The bass player is in another band called ILAD. I think a lot of y'all would really like their stuff too, so check them out. He used to be in a salsa band called Bio Ritmo, too.
