there's a few folks from the frogville parlor that are meeting up in SF for the shows this weekend, just curious who's going from the sliplive camp?

also,
any of you planning on taping (or know that someone will be)?
my bf is considering bringing his gear, but would rather not if someone else will be...

Hiya magpie - I'll be there :-)

I'm pretty sure Harry will be taping - but haven't talked to him in far too long. Never hurts to have mutliple recordings ;)

What about Club Waziema for some preshow cocktails and ethiopian food? Slip in SF for me generally means an ever-growing group of friends, which can certainly be hard to direct towards one spot - but I'm down for trying...

dude, waziema is the shit. coolest eithiopian cocktail lounge around. i first hit that place up before the last slip show at the indy back in november. the food is great and the cocktails are stiff. its got a very unique vibe. i suggest it all the time now for re-show gatherings....

I'll be there with a couple of friends. I think it would be cool to meet up on Sat. before the show. Waziema sounds great! I'm down.

Hey Torph: I nearly flew out for these, and I know they will be brain-melters. Please give Tim my best. I wish I could have swung the trip, but moving at work and at home has me tied up 'til Bonnaroo.

And Ms. Morgan the Fair, I know you're in for a wonderful time and hopefully we can see Brad stack-climbing evidence from John. :) That's always a challenge 'cuz the spotlights don't point over there, and you don't want to blind mr spiderman with the flash. Oh, the decisions!

Ethiopian food is fun...just make sure you all clean under your fingernails first! What's that spongey bread called? Definitely an experience.

Thanks also in advance to Harry (and others) for recording. Everyone else, please buy this man a beer (or a drink of his choice).

I'll be there in spirit and toast to the music gods of San Francisco. If anyone wants to drunk-dial me, go right ahead.

injera is the ethiopian bread - traditionally made with teff, a really cool grain. Most ethiopian places don't use teff though because of the price and lack of supply.

As far as Harry's favorite drink? If I had to guess, my vote goes for some very nice cactus juice.

Looking forward to seeing all the fine folks tomorrow night!
