From Theslip.com:

The SLIP will be making its first appearance at the legendary Gorge Amphitheatre for the Sasquatch Festival in Washington State on Saturday, May 26th. The band is thrilled to be playing alongside Arcade Fire, Bjork, Neko Case, Grizzly Bear and many more.

Congrats to BAM!

That is just breathtaking scenery. Seems worth it just for that, in addition to the kick-ass performers. Thanks for the lead!

The Slip sharing the stage with the Bad Brains - my musical worlds collide :!:

I wish I liked (or even knew) most of the bands on that ticket. Other than The Slip their artist selection doesn't really mix with my musical tastes. A few of the headliners I kind of like but don't know well. I'd love to go Bonnaroo or Langerado but don't have the dough but both of those festivals have much more similar tastes in music to mine....

I'm not a religious man but I HAVE been praying for The Slip/SMMD to pop up when High Sierra announces.... Go High Sierra!!! Make it 11 times (or is it 12 now?), don't break the streak BAM!!!

Pretty sure 1998 was the first HSMF for The Slip. So this would be nine I guess.

1998 + ... 2007 = 10th year

It doesn't look right, but taking digits 0 to 9 is also 10 of 'em. :)

They have had the fest every year for a while. They used to have 2 a year, a summer and a fall and I was under the mistaken impression that they played both in 1998, the last year of the double Sierra, hence my being one off on the count. SlipBase seems to prove me wrong.

I also seem to recall that in 2005 there was some mention from the stage that it was their 10th High Sierra. I don't know about BAM but I know myself that I can have a hard time doing basic math a few days into High Sierra!
