I LOVE this song. Definitely gives me warm family fuzzies. The part that has been getting me is: "like god and the devil struck a deal....so you can have this one....but after I'm done" What the___ does that mean? Anyone care to discuss?

the previous line is about being blessed and cursed, so God has blessed the narrator with such good fortune, but once he's served His purpose, the Devil can have him- it's not quite Job, but in that vein.
there's Wide Spread Panic song along those same lines, but from the back side- The Lord uses the good ones, and the bad ones use the Lord
