eisenhower lyrics
since the slip have made a conscious effort to move towards more lyrical tunes i was wondering what you guys thought of the lyrics on eisenhower.
actually these are my least favorite slip lyrics to date i think and i don't think they do justice to the music. i would say especially the words to airplane/primitive (moreso because the music to that song is so sick). the chorus is cool but the verses, especially "it's the day before the rest of my life and i feel like dylan thoman", are pretty weak. i think also the lyrics to mothwing bite don't really say anything interesting and neither do the words to soft machine unfortunately because it's such a good song. that said, there are some lyrical gems like paper birds. and i really like the lyrics to suffocation keep too although i can see how some people might not. that's probably my favorite song on the album.
