I'll be brief for now.

Outstanding miniset last night at Tonic - blew a lot of those hispsters away. The ovation at the end of the set and the looks on BAM's face told the whole story. It's all about the Levi's..........

Am in possession of, and currently listening to Eisenhower, or IKE, as I shall be calling it from now on......

It's a very good album, possibly their best ever.....production is superb, they seem to have dialed the vocals, songwriting/lyrics are outsdanding. I'll be posting a longer review in the next few days elsewhere......

but I just wanted to say what's up to everyone, let you all know that CMJ rocked, and observe what a cool time is to be a fan of this band.

ciao,
Sam

I just couldn't believe the some of the attitudes - it was more of the club, than anything else.

I show up at the Box Office at 7:30 and politely ask to buy two tickets, one for me, and one for my date, who was to show up at 9:30, after she got out of class. I was hoping to leave her ticket at the BO for her to pick up when she arrived.

I was informed that I could only buy one ticket, and that she would have to buy her own when she arrived, potentially risking being shut out, bc BAM was to start at 9 and the room was filling up.

I don't think I've ever been refused sale of a ticket to an unsold out show before. Lame. Anyway, it worked out, but the episode injected an unfortunate aspect of annoyingness into the proceedings......

And no, you may not call me Woody Woodpecker. My name is Snoop.

And besides, I'm a reporter, its my job to instigate things.

no shit! i would have proceeded to pull down my pants and urinated on the door and politely excused myself. but then i would have missed the show.

thats the thing about nyc that i dont like. too many assholes that think theyre better than you. its the whole service industry in general, and believe ive put in my time as bartending/serving. doesnt matter, i wasnt that impressed with tonic anyway when i was there.

i thought it was supposed to close down anyway?
