BAM on WED

Post: # 12070Post headnugg »

I just found out I'm seeing the boys tom. night!

They're playing a short set at the Boston Music Awards, should be fun. I'm betting on Even Rats, maybe Children of December. They're probably only going to get one song, maybe two, and they'll want to impress all the big-wigs with some of their new shit I'm sure.....

I'll get a setlist if I can.

Even Rats it was. Crowd was receptive, which isn't the norm at an awards show, seemed to really dig the song. BAM also won an award, Best Live Act, well deserved of course.

But right before Even Rats the Slip played a Pixies song w/Melissa Ferrick and Sonya Kitchell that was awesome.

Interesting night. Peter Gammons accepted an award and spoke briefly, the crowd was delighted to see him.

GangGreen played a few songs! I don't know much about them, except they're legends and I bet they haven't performed in public in like 20 years

Good times.

Freakin' awesome! I knew it! I was driving down to Winstons tonight to see a couple local bands play and was thinking that they would win the best live act and tah dah...they did. This is so wonderful. Wow, and to top it off they did a pixies tune with some other artists.....I'm so happy for them and of course the pixies rule.

only pixies song I've heard/seen them play is "Wave of Mutilation" the UK pop version (see Pump up the volume {Christian Slater movie})... and with girls.. it's probably the one....
Cease to resist, giving my goodbye
Drive my car into the ocean
Youll think Im dead, but I sail away
On a wave of mutilation
A wave
Wave

Ive kissed mermaids, rode the el nino
Walked the sand with the crustaceans
Could find my way to mariana
On a wave of mutilation,
Wave of mutilation
Wave of mutilation
Wave

Wave of mutilation

well I'm not up on my pixies so I have no idea. I did see the Pixies on ACL though from last week or so and I believe they played that song during their time on the show. Rubio would probably know which song it was.....

It was great though

was this it.. only slower (the slower one is the UK Pop version.. and that's the one I've seen them do.. at Creekside and it was magical!)

SO I didn't think it was Wave of Mutilation, but someone here in the office has just told me that was in fact what they played.

Maybe I just have a bad short term memory.......I definitely have a bad short term memory.....
