I wrote the melody in the middle section—that part came out of a jam that I had with Marc [Friedman], Andrew and Brad [the Brothers Barr] from The Slip. They had a gig in Rhode Island, which I played and I listened to the tape and heard it in one of our jams.

ahhh.. one of those shows.. the way he said it was that they had a gig out there. so i figured it was during a slip show. now i just have to wait to get to school and listen to that show.

edit: now that i checked what show it was, it was already noted that it was in there. that's cool that it actually was before they wrote the song. it's an awesome show.

yeah cleantone, i recently got this show....thanks so much for taping it! you can distinctly hear marco playing with the themes for what would become play pause stop, something for rockets, etc....great to hear how this stuff developed
