hey dan

i'm trying to use slipstream for the first time and when I click listen my winamp gives me a message that says:

Service unavailable and the slipstream url

also when I click listen now it downloads something called Listen.pls

am I doing something wrong?

no you are doing nothing wrong at all.

I have been seeding on etree some shows and closed down my stream so i could still do some research on my internet with out comprimising speed.

As of right now it will be brought back up!

just click again, it will surely work.

Dan

P.S. the listen.pls is what is called a playlist file. ist is very small text file that music programs such as winamp, itunes, musicmatch, realplayer use to connect to the stream. similar idea to a m3u file extension.

and if your at work and it will not work, try clicking the Windows Media link because that will stream from port 80 grabbing the stream.

Slipstream is pretty much the coolest thing ever. Dan thanks a lot for all the time and effort you've put into it. I can truly appreciate it now at my new job, where I'm pretty much in an office by myself all day and the only thing that keeps me sane is music.

I listen to Archive, Slipstream, and the Nugs.net stash.....anyone know some other sites to check out?
