Lupo's Thanksgiving Requests

Post: # 22685Post lucasdavidsamuels »

time to start throwing out requests, maybe the boys will be checking out the message board like they did for the one off Paradise show last year

I'd love to hear:
1. Proud
2. Happy Snails
3. Reddish Moon
4. You Might Say
5. Weight of Solomon (with Marco on organ as he is opening the show)

hell maybe Marco will sit in the whole time, that'd be great

what do you all want to hear?

Being back in Southeastern Mass for holidays always makes me think of the Westport shoutout in Predicting the Rain, so I'd love to hear that.

And I always cross my fingers for Driving Backwards with You, since that remains THE song of theirs that I've never ever heard them play--funny since it's probably my favorite of theirs.

Apart from that I second all of the previous requests, esp. Proud and Reddish Moon and Chrysanthemum.

Lonely Boy and virtually any instrumental (other than Fuji, Wolof, Moderate Threat > Cowboy Up) would also be sweet

Don't forget that Lupo's turning into a dance club at 11. So be there for 6-7PM to make sure to catch Marco and The Slip's sets.

I could write the set for them, but it'd never happen. it would completely make my night if they opened with the invocation. It just sets the right atmosphere.

Some favorites of mine include:
there's a lie
wine and white soda
solomon
jumby (i've really wanted to hear this live since i heard the 4.19.2003 recording at the somerville theatre)
predicting the rain
dear melina
headshot>meowskers

and of course, any bts cover.

and I want brad to play his danelectro convertible. Love that guitar...as I should, I've got one too!

A lot of great ones... I would like to hear some of the newish stuff, like Gaunt Debutante, All I Saw Was You. Wine and White Soda would be great too.

I would flip my lid for Jumby but I kind of feel that falls in ancient history territory for them but who knows!

Else or another BTS cover would always be welcome as well!

i can't remember the entire set of the night, but i got to hear Fuji and Sometimes True to Nothing, so I am extremely happy.
Im with all who hoped for Solomon, but until i hear that, I'll keep living in my fantasy world of the perfect slip set.
