So where were you seven years ago today when the towers were hit?

I was in Auburn, AL laying it bed, and turned on the TV to see the second tower hit.

I imagine some of y'all were in NYC at the time.

Very close...almost too close (about 6 blocks when the buildings collapsed).

Maybe I'll post the pictures. Very scary day...still haunts me.

I was in my old apartment in Oakland... got a call from my mom back east. I can't remember but I don't think I had broadcast TV at my place though I did get Dish shortly afterwards primarily because of the tower attack. I think I kept the sattelite TV service for about a year afterwards and then went back to my no broadcast TV lifestyle. (DVD's only, and now AppleTV)

I was at work but I watched it on line in horror as it was being reported. Felt like the world was tilted upside down.

I was in Saratoga Springs, NY. Got back from my 8 am class and all my housemates were huddle around the TV. There were lots of kids from NYC and surrounding areas that went to Skidmore - it was a scary, crazy, unbelievable day.

doing laundry in prague while studying abroad. Live broadcast from CNN. Similar to Bear, my program had a whole bunch of nyc'ers - needless to say that tensions were very high for many of them with family members working in the area.

The response from most Czech's in the following days and months was very supportive.
