7.12.06 | STEREOGUM.COM NAMES THE SLIP: BAND TO WATCH
The biggest music blog of them all, at least according to Entertainment Weekly, tagged the Slip with its rare "Band to Watch" post. Thanks stereogum.com!

stereogum!??! things are taking off. i wonder/cringe at what sort of crowds are going to be drawn to shows after this. all that matters is that this music is recognized, though! ....hmm wonder what will be said in reviews after the albums out.

god damn, this is exactly the kind of press they need. the steam is going to blow this fucking crock pot wide open. it will be an interesting fall indeed.

im cracking up reading the comments on this blog:

"I've had several trustafarians recommend the Slip to me, which was my cue to ignore them. But I trust Jim James and Stereogum way more than my own friends."

"I was all set to enjoy the Slip, and then the fretless bass kicked in, and a part of my soul died."

"Is it bad that, as I listen to them, I think this sounds a lot like Train?"

these people are jackasses.
