Slip Torrent Storm

Hey everyone... those who frequent etree have noticed I've been torrenting a lot of old stuff. I got started with some DAT xfers from my friend Edmund, which I was pretty good about posting but have been since slacking on posting here. Got a bunch of old filesets from Jason Booth, have been going through them, also picking out some stuff from my own drives, tagging, retracking at times and trying to update setlists. I probably will post mp3's at some point. This project kind of begs the question of what we can do about a new online portal to store setlists and links and such but I don't have much free time and this has been taking up a lot of it already

Enjoy...

That Scullers show is incredible. If you don't have it, grab it! And if you do -- which others would folks recommend as a comparable set?

Ok.. this is a lot of music! I just keep plodding through the drive Jason sent me. A lot of this stuff I had but with an extra CD-R gen in it, though a lot of these have a CD gen anyway. Anything that is missing tracks or has obvious DAE issues I'm skipping for now. I'm going to keep going until I drop! I haven't been doing mp3's for most of these because it is more work and more bandwidth but if anyone wants anything in particular as mp3 lmk. We need a good online system for streaming or mp3 download at some point... Anyone work with drupal much?

Just posted this on bt.etree.org but though it is worth saying here:

With only a few exceptions, between my recent seeds and the old seeds still active, everything I have up through 2000 is seeding except:

• Shows with missing/corrupt tracks
• Shows with bad diginoise or DAE issues
• Shows I'm not supposed to circulate

So if you have something (2000 or earlier) that's not up... go ahead and seed it, or message me, I am happy to help with DAT/CD-R or MD xfers. I'll get started on 2001 sometime after Thanksgiving....

Harry, I love your idea of streaming shows online. I'm a big fan of the setup at https://listentothedead.com/ for listening to shows in an organized way. Unfortunately, I have zero technical skill in this regard, so I'm really just here to say that sounds awesome and I really, really hope that happens. :D
