This was my first Slip show, and I don't think I've ever seen a torrent of it made available. Does anyone have it in any form? I'd be willing to trade or B&P to get a copy. And if a dose of irony helps, I was actually patched in to a stage-lip+sbd matrix that night, but it was back in the days when I was borrowing gear, so I gave the tapes to the gear's owner, and I've lost track of him. :(

Aloha,
Brad

I've had trouble getting seeds started on etree lately for some reason. If you connect just hang tight while I try to get it going. If I can't, I may end up moving this to The Traders Den or something.

Do you happen to have the source info. for this one?

Hey Clinton--

What's up, my man? No disrepect to Jim as he drove us up there for this killer gig, but
it was I, in fact, who mixed, recorded & transferred this.

If I remember correctly, the lineage is this:

[schoeps cmc621(stage)>sonosax] + SBD(crappy board of which I forget the make)>Mackie
1202>Apogee AD1000>DAP1>R500>marantz pro CD burner(forget which one)>CDR>
EAC>Sound Forge(Balance, PD&Norm)>CDR
mixed, recorded & mast/remastered by Bill Mulvey

Please add this to/change the text file(if you can).

Jim is an incredible guy & resposible for the facilitating of so many Slip shows getting recorded
(as well as recording so many of them himself). A great & true friend who even went as far
as taking a punch to the face on this particular night from an obnoxious, unruly Canadian
(doesn't seem likely, right?) to protect the stage mics. Much love & respect to the mighty JC!!!!

Thanks for uploading it, Clinton!!

Also, Cleantone, If I remeber correctly, the boys didn't want this out in the community as
it has SBD sourcing involved in it, but maybe you know something I don't & their feelings
have changed about it??

You know your right. I didn't even play the tracks to notice it was a matrix. I saw the request for this on the fan site and filled it without really thinking about it. Long story short I saw the sunrise this morning and my head is pounding right now. I'm going to pull the seed. Sorry guys. I "slipped" up on this one. Maybe I can run it by BAM one of these days. It's been a while and maybe they wouldn't mind.

holy shiznitz!

That Jim "JC" as in Jim Crighton? Getting punched in the face while trying to tape would definitely explain why he's fallen off the face of the earth. I haven't seen him since around that time and have been wondering what he's up to. I know he's traveling a lot for his job, too...blast from the legends of Slip past.

Killer setlist...I wonder if I have this show already...looks very familiar. I gotta get my own archives in order.

Checked my archives and I did acquire a copy of this back in '02 or '03 (and 90% sure did not get it from Cleantone), so it has circulated in the past. Never had any source info for mine, but I'm assuming it's the same. Not sure if it makes any difference in terms of whether they'd rather it not continue to circulate, but it has already been out there.

i also recall obtaining this sometime in the past. from the looks of the db.etree page, quite a few people circulated the show.
