At this show I patched from the house Neumanns that were mounted in a great spot. My list shows:

House Neumanns> V3> DA-P1> Audiophile 2496> Wavelab 4> CD Wave

I thnk they were matched 184's (SKM184). The V3 and P1 were mine. I have lossless sans the MAX rip too. Don't ask where. There somewhere in the tens of thousands of discs.

well... This is my recording. To the best of my recollection it is the only source. I think there might have been a patcher off of my deck but we only used the house mics. No other mics were flown. I think it was just me and Sammy rolling tape. Maybe one other DAT patcher. I know I seeded my recording, probably as a tree on the graffiti. So it is safe to say both are the same. This one has an CDR gen in it. Someday I'll have a faster connection again and can seed some stuff when I have time.

This is ripped from lumpy's CD's. He can confirm when he gets back but I believe it is from a torrent of cleantone's recording.

I would of course rather be distributing the cleanest lineage possible but right now I am digging on late '03 especially so I figured I would seed some shows. Some don't have pure digital lineages but I have been ripping with Max which does cdparanoia which is apparently ok and I listen to the recordings multiple times before I seed.

Speaking of late '03 I am listening to halloween and there is the cello smashing incident. WTF? Was anyone there? From the text file it seems they had someone come out in a rabbit suit and play a cello which then got smashed by BAM. I am generally quite opposed to instrument smashing and my enjoyment of bands like The Who and Nirvana is limited by my feelings about their destructiveness. I give Hendrix a pass though because

a) he stopped smashing/burning guitars quickly, I forget the exact number but it was less than a dozen
b) he's so cool

anyway...

for what it is worth I have seen other sources on etree from the old higher ground that state they were from the house km184's. The day of the show the house engineer didn't know if they were 184 or 140.
