The Narrows' website lists the 8/27 show as SMMD with the Low Anthem opening....

D'Gary is the name of one of the musicians Bela Fleck collaborated with on the recent 'Throw Down Your Heart'... Connection?

NM's e-list said a while ago that he'd be doing Northeast shows this summer too -- looks like something may be shaping up here...

Okay not exactly Slip-related, but some of you may know Taarka, a cousin band for sure. (Mando player Dave Tiller was a founding member of TMM with Nathan Moore, and fiddler Enion Pelta-Tiller was in the late rstringband incarnation.) Earlier in the week I saw that Taarka was going to play at Tazza ...

Anyone else there?? Totally enjoyable evening in a new venue for me. Seemed like maybe Nathan found a few new fans, as not many there seemed like they were there for him... He was the main draw for me, and it was nice to have a moment to intro myself as he awaited a sandwich after the set, tell him ...

Definitely enjoyed the Great Scott show -- high energy, good mix of song and jam. Having openers Jim Hobbs and Django Carranza sit in definitely seemed to work at times -- there was some great Brad/Jim interplay; did anyone else catch Brad playing back some of Jim's skronky lines almost note for not...

Venue website for the Allston show reports that Jim Hobbs is on the bill too...
