my first earthquake

i've lived in LA for five years, i and i felt my first earthquake last night a 1am. it was only a 4.5, but it shook the house, the bed, and the giant bookcase next to my bed. very strange and scary sensation.... to be lying in bed and suddenly feel your house moving. with you in it! on a different n...

andrew in the middle?

is it news that andrew plays in the middle of brad and marc now, instead of on stage left? also is it new that he sports a mustache?

do you think there's a connection between the two?

i do!

ok, here's a question. i learned a trick for tabbing through open windows within an application. i forgot it though! it was so excellent. so say you have 4 different word docs open, you can tab through them without using the cursor or selecting it from the menu. i used it a lot in cubase, where ther...

yes, i have a second-hand review of the chicago show from my own flesh and blood- my brother: some songs were absolutely mind-blowing. some were not very inspired. marc was unusually still- not his rockstar moving self. fuji set the place on fire. the crowd started clearing out half-way through. it ...

my fave trick: apple-shift-3 takes a picture of whatever is on your screen. apple-shift-4 lets you select an area to take a picture. it puts the pic as a pdf on your desktop. love it! i really love the mail app. so much better than going online for your email. i like how you can add your top-frequen...

buy a mac and never look back!

i know it's scary if you've been using PC for most of your life. it's uncomfortable getting used to new things. but i know SEVERAL people who made the hesitant switch and they are all so so thankful that they did.

wow.

that is the first time i've seen brad onstage singing without his guitar. from the pics, it looked powerful. was there a noticeable difference in his singing?

fantastic!

my friend elvis is in the lineup too. it's funny, i feel like he and the slip are having similarly parallel rises in their careers. they both: have the providence connection, did opening runs for my morning jacket, had articles in rolling stone (elvis' article is this month's edition- it's a page an...

you've presented some thought-provoking points, nick.

i look forward to adding to this discussion when i'm rested.

for now though let me say i was in a real complaining mood the day i whimpered on and on about being bored.

some days i'm a complainer.

i read the article yesterday.

i'm quite happy rolling stone is talking about the slip.

and i had to delete the rest of my post. it was unseemly and hastily written.
