That Do Make Say album is really good. For some reason I forgot about that. Ryan Adams released his best album in years. It took me a while but I like it more everytime I hear it. Wilco's Sky Blue Sky is a beautiful album filled with beautiful songs. I have to agree with Emotionalism. I had never he...

setlist

All I Saw Was You, Poor Boy, Before You Were Born, Soft Machine, Paper Birds > Children of December, Suffocation Keep, Even Rats It was cool. Pretty quick, not a lot of people. There was a little kid in Even Rats that really liked it. That was funny. Seemed to be some tech issues in the beginning. P...

I always thought the release of a DVD, or even any kind of live concert video was more of something limited to larger bands. If you think about it, it's not like an album that someone would just check out on a whim. Music DVD sales are limited almost exclusively to fans and even then not all of them ...

Is there admission to Sailfest? - There is NO admission charge as is there no gate to the event and all entertainm...

The set’s highlight came with a cover of Pixies’ “Where Is My Mind,” which featured bassist Marc Friedman picking up a ukelele and guest vocals from Bobby Bare Jr. They played another cover to close the show (before a final encore), the Leiber & Stoller-penned “Stand By Me,” This stood out. It ...

I used tobe a huge Radiohead fan but have eased offed it in recent years. Still OK Computer remains one of my favorite albums. Let Down sticks with me more than the others. It was first time I ever heard song and thought it was beautiful.

ISO: Live is My Jumby

For the past month or so I have been trying to track down a copy of Live is My Jumby. Since it's out of print I am having no luck. This is my last ditch effort. I was wondering if anyone on here knew of a place anywhere that may have it in stock (and be selling it for a reasonable price I have found...

Not everything on that setlist was played and certainly not in that order. Rubio said when he handed it to me that it was close enough to what was played though.

Thanks for the clearing up stuff Phrazz. I actually got a copy of the setlist at the end of the night from Rubio but it's kind of hard to make out some of it. For instance I Hate Love is just a heart. Lotsa Socks is right on, but there's something else written. Maybe Mis/Socks? That would make sense...

2007.06.23 Slip @ Middle East

I haven't found much discussion on the show on here. Anyone check it out besides me? I had a rockin good time. Lots of good covers were played. Where Is My Mind with Bobby Bare and Stand by Me with this saxophonist*. They closed with a rip roarin Heartbreaker. The saxophonist played during another s...

It's funny that you say that about Wilco. It's obviously true and if you watch I am Trying To Break Your Heart you see just how hard Jeff had to fight to get some of the more electronic apects to stay in the songs. But if you read any Tweedy interviews lately he shits all over the idea of music bein...

I have a weird thing about production. I always hate it when an album sounds too perfect. It irkes me because music should not be perfect. I love those little flaws that prove to you what your listening to is real. It's the same reason why I love live music. That being said I don't like an album to ...

My last car had just a tape player. I used a tape adapter to listen to my iPod but when I forgot my iPod I just had one back up cassette. Neil Young's "After the Gold Rush." How'd your iPod break? There are a lot of kits out there that are cheap, easy to use, and fix most iPod related prob...
