i dug up this old show a while ago(cant find the cd at the moment) with "Liz" singing with the boys in a song called sunshine. awesome pop-py tune. not only a minute before they played it though, androo's snare had a malfunction (broken drum head i think). it think he just flipped the drum...

i wanna hear what some of your guys favorite recorded slip shows are. one of mine would have to be 6-28-00. all the good stuff on there - mount zion, moral decay, catacea, spice groove, invocators, johnnys tune (maybe the best version ive ever heard them do), rythym and gold, et cetera....

I got the cymbal complete

I stacked (in order from bottom to top):

cowbell
meinl 8" drumbal
piece of tin foil
sabian 6" splash (that i hammered the hell out of)
several large leather seeds (like the ones you see andrew or illy b shake at a microphone)

and i am still seeing how much more i can get stacked...

i dont know...

i dont know... i have a hard time picturing the slip getting really mainstream. honestly i would be a little upset. but it would be a good smack in the face to all those clowns at mtv and vh1. i just dont see the slip's good musicianship fitting in with the repetitive pop lines on the top 20 countdo...
