As far as the crowd goes I'm originally an east coaster but have lived in the Bay Area for the past 10 years. I've been seeing the Slip since '99 but only on the west coast until this Lupo's show so I have very little to compare it to but I really didn't have any personal complaints regarding the cr...

It was a good show! It started up kind of by the book but got increasingly more interesting. Weight Of Solomon was awesome, a more rock oriented interpretation of the song. All and all the crowd wasn't too bad although Andrew and then Brad chastised the crowd for some guy pushing up front. I am very...

I don't know why you need to know your DNS servers for bittorrent. If you are running a router and getting an address via DHCP or PPPoE you should be able to see in status what they are. Also disabling your whole firewall isn't the best idea really, you should just open the ports so people don't try...

I've thought the climbing the stacks thing has gotten kind of tired. When he tried to do it at the Independent in November and the plug of his guitar came out before he could do it it seemed a bit like hubris biting him in the butt. OTOH It was pretty cool when he was standing up on Marc's stacks at...

A lot of ISP's block 6881-6889(or 6999) because they don't want people using bitttorrent. So if someone is listening at a high port number that may be because their ISP blocks it (or they are trying to be able to communicate with others who are.) I use 49152-3, I read on the Azureus wiki to use port...

I just counted and I had only heard of 12 out of the 20 of the artists listed! And I have only actually listened to one of those albums. (guess!) I am not trying to boast of my ignorance or anything, based on the artists listed in the top 20 and the runners up I would trust the judgment of the perso...
