Does anyone have a recording of the 7/20 show? That could knock it off the list if we can't get it. Also the High Sierra stuff is from FestivalLive, a product you can order from them right now. I love both of those songs, the Wolof and The Shouters, highlights of my Slip year for sure but I don't kn...

Umm, from Jan 16: Eube & Weight of Solomon from NYE That's off the top of my head, I will be thinking of this.... and Jan 22: I just listened to that 12/7 show this weekend. I think I had listened to part of it before but wow! Nice recording and great playing. I also would nominate Weight of Sol...

I am by no means an expert on this but I believe that some people think normalization is bad because it alters the original patterns of bits as captured at a particular resolution. Something like re-sizing a jpeg in Photoshop maybe? I tend to normalize unless I happened to have the levels really hig...

I think Even Rats would have been a better choice, though I'm sure they would have had to truncate that one as well. It definitely sounds better with repeated listens than it did live, I couldn't get over how short the song was and how Brad seemed nervous. (maybe because he was singing in the wrong ...

Be sure to right click (control click for you one button Mac people) to download that to disk or it might come up as a mess of gibberish.

For the record I love Fuji and Wolof. They often are the highlight of a show for me, I dig it when they go for the deep space. Every time is different. My point was that since they have so many good jam vehicles from the old days they could mix it up a little bit.

I see no signs of obsession in Slip fans, especially not myself!

Great great article... The writer gets it for sure.

I crack macs all the time. I am not actually certified as a technician but am for the software. For the MacBook the HD and memory are really easy to change. Anything else is a nightmare. If you got a desktop machine like the Mac Pro or even the iMacs there would be a lot more latitude.

Mac OS X can read and write FAT32 volumes natively w/o boot camp or parallels. It can also read but not write NTFS. Read/write for both would be supported under boot camp. With boot camp when you are booted into XP you are esentially running a windows machine just like you would be if you had a Dell...
