that everybody wants to rule the world is from a halloween show in Northhampton - it was awesome! I was just posting over in Trading about if anyone had the Duo's opening set. I'm gonna go poke around and see if I have the slip set.

They opened for the Slip at a Halloween show in... 2004? 5 in Northampton. They covered Elliott Smith and also did some great version of Sunny's Song.

Anyone have it?

that "call it what you like" on there, which I can totally hear brad telling the person who compiled this thing to call it, is one of my fav slip things. I wonder if more of whatever show that was is around? Anyone know/have?

PROS Focussed, tight, cohesive. I think it's a little more fun than Sleeping Operator, and also more energetic than 1st release. I think playing Barr Bros stuff to the uninitiated is tough, but there's more songs here that would appeal to people unfamiliar with the band. I think Kompromat stands out...

iTunes store Queens of the Breakers - hit "preview all" and you'll get about 1:00 or so of all of the new songs - sounds amazing! I had to stop myself after a few because I want to be a little more surprised on the 13th.
